The Panel of Judges for the 2004 National Online Recruitment Awards has now been finalised.  They do, of course, have extensive experience of the current online recruitment sector.  They are selected on the basis of this knowledge and have no vested interested in the nominated websites.

The Judging Panel

STEPHEN O'DONNELL MREC (Member of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation)

Founder and Managing Director of AlljobsUK.com.  Stephen has been a professional recruiter for the last 15 years, and has owned and run successful recruitment companies since 1993.

PHILIP McMULLAN

Philip McMullan is the editor of The Recruitment Consultant the new monthly title for the UK staffing industry which launches in September. Philip was previously the editor of Professional Recruiter and has written extensively on recruitment and employment matters for The London Professional Recruitment Guide and Employment Law Journal.

LOUISE TRIANCE

Louise Triance has a background in recruiting and the internet. She is founder and director of ukrecruiter.co.uk which, via its web site and newsletter, provides comprehensive and independent information to the recruitment industry.

TIM ELKINGTON

Tim is the Managing Director of Enhance Media, an independent training, consultancy and research company specialising in online recruitment. Enhance Media offer impartial advice to recruitment professionals on how to get the most from the internet as a recruitment tool. Tim also provides training in online recruitment for the CIPD's certificate in recruitment and selection.

Enhance Media are also responsible for the National Online Recruitment Audience Survey, , which should not be confused with the Online Recruitment Awards.

DON MCINTOSH

Don McIntosh combines a technical background with 12 years experience running conventional recruitment companies in the UK and over 4 years experience in e-recruitment and Internet recruitment portals.  Don was the UK Managing Director of TopJobs.co.uk and the original Chairman of the AOLR (The Association of Online Recruiters, part of the REC).

Don Peña

Donald Peña is Founder of CorpsCareers.com in the USA, a military veteran job board, and owner of Corps Solution, a healthcare recruitment firm in Washington DC specializing in recruitment of former military healthcare providers.  Now based in the UK, he is an advisor in online recruitment strategies.

 The criteria to be used in judging will include:

1. Ease of use, design, layout & speed.

2. Volume of available vacancies.

3. Volume of claimed visitors.

4. Available facilities for jobseekers.

5. Prominence in targeted market.

Sites will be judged from the point of view of a jobseeker, and what benefits candidates best.

Shortlisted sites are entitled to display this logo on their site and literature.
