The
Panel of Judges for the 2008 National Online Recruitment Awards has now
been finalised. As usual they will, of course, have
extensive experience of the current online recruitment sector.
They are selected on the basis of this knowledge, and have no vested
interested in the nominated websites.
The Judging Panel
STEPHEN
O'DONNELL FREC (Fellow of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation)
Founder
of AlljobsUK.com. Stephen has been a professional recruiter for
the last 21 years, and has owned and run successful
recruitment companies since 1993. Stephen O'Donnell is Chairman of
the Judging Panel.
PHILIP McMULLAN

Philip McMullan is editor of leading monthly
staffing title Recruitment
Consultant. Previously editor of
Professional Recruiter he
has covered the UK recruitment market for the past eight years. He was
previously a legal journalist editing specialist title
Employment Law Journal and
contributing to national publications including
Legal Business and
The Legal 500.
LOUISE TRIANCE

Louise Triance has a background in
recruiting and the internet. She is founder and director of
ukrecruiter.co.uk which, via
its web site and newsletter, provides comprehensive and independent
information to the recruitment industry.
DAN MCGUIRE

Dan McGuire, Managing Director,
Broadbean Technology. Dan heads up Broadbean Technology,
Europe's largest multiple job posting and applicant source tracking
company which distributes in excess of 1,500,000 online job adverts
every month to more than 600 job boards across the globe. Dan has been
involved in the recruitment industry, both traditional and online for
over 9 years.
TOM ATKINSON

Tom Atkinson, currently C.E.O of Keen Thinking, director of Purple
Factors, non executive director of Manage People, and compliance
consultant for Gain Advantage and others, is always keen to witness
“best of breed”. He was elected a Fellow of the Institute of the Motor
Industry (F.I.M.I.) before moving into recruitment 10 years ago and
becoming one of Plimsoll Publishing’s Entrepreneurs of the Year. He is
listed in “Who’s Who” in both “Who’s Who” in Britain’s Business Elite
and “Who’s Who” in Recruitment. (2002 edition). A previous judge for,
presenter and recipient of, many awards, Tom is currently a judge for
the “Orange” National Business Awards and has been for the last 4 years.
As well as NORA, Cash Simply, one of his company’s brands, is sponsoring
“Best Recruitment Consultant” awards across the country.
DON MCINTOSH

Don is the Development Director of RecruitActive Ltd who provide erecruitment systems and expertise to corporate employers. Don combines
over 8 years experience in online recruitment with 12 years running
conventional recruitment companies. Don was the UK Managing Director of
Top Jobs on the Net and the Chairman of the AOLR from its launch in
September 2000 and is currently on the committee of the Online
Recruitment Marketing Council.
ISABEL KAY
Isabel is a UK and internationally experienced HR Director working, until
recently, with Cadbury Schweppes plc, the world’s largest confectionery
business. Isabel is now an independent HR consultant specialising in
Organisation Effectiveness, Change Management and Coaching. As a senior
HR professional with over 20 years experience in organisations such as
Diageo and Cadbury, Isabel has managed recruitment campaigns in the UK,
USA, Australia, Africa and the Middle East.
The
criteria to be used in judging will include:
1.
Ease of use, design, layout & speed.
2.
Volume of available vacancies.
3.
Volume of claimed visitors.
4.
Available facilities for jobseekers.
5.
Prominence in targeted market.
Sites
will be judged from the point of view of a jobseeker, and what benefits
candidates best.
